The biggest difference between twill (matte) and sateen TENCEL™ bedding?
Just like cotton, TENCEL™ has different types of weaves and qualities. We make all our bedding from fabrics in weaves of the highest possible quality.
Our twill weave has a more matte look than our sateen weave. It is less smooth and shiny. This makes it otherwise soft, but (as you have come to expect from us) still sensationally soft. We compare it to your nicest t-shirt that you have been wearing for years. So soft!
Due to the diagonal weave structure, a twill weave is less supple, smooth and shiny than a sateen weave, but stronger and more wrinkle-resistant. We have chosen the tightest weave, so that you still get a beautifully supple fabric. This structure makes it slightly less cooling in the summer compared to our luxurious sateen weave, but it still regulates the temperature many times better than cotton.
Our TENCEL™ sateen weave is a fine, buttery soft and sensationally supple weave, which therefore feels a bit smoother and has a luxurious shine. Is exceptionally cooling in the summer, but also wonderfully warm in the winter.
